help with college list? (stats and personality inside)

So I’m a senior in high school and I’ve recently begun to draft a list of colleges I’m applying to. only problem: I have no idea what college I’d fit in at (my number one fear of going to college is that I hate the place I end up going to!)
about me:
3.7 UW 4.2 W gpa @ competitive magnet school (top 25 nationally, USNWR)
2310 sat 1st sitting, no act
770 us hist 760 math 2
taken 6 APs- 2 "5"s, 2 "4"s, 1 "3"s, 1 “2” (physics 1 ftw)
almost certain nmf, ap scholar w/ distinction
taking 5 APs senior year
decent amount of extracurriculars/leadership

black female, I’m a pretty good writer and I love collaborative environments
I’d love a school that smallish medium in size that’s in a town outside of (near, not in) a big city. i feel like i might not go to class if i got to school in a big city that’s too interesting LOL, but i definitely don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere
Ia school that’s diverse (or as diverse as colleges in north america can get), welcoming to minorities, community-based, aware about social issues (not stuck in a bubble), academically challenging but not cutthroat, and of course inclined to give generous financial aid packages.
I’m very interested in public health and have been for a while, so i can see myself pursuing an MPH after undergrad
I understand that this is definitively a lot, so any suggestion that fulfills even a few of the above preferences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Check out the supermatch college search software that is under free resources in this website. Its got a lot of good stuff in there…you can punch in all the variables that are important to you such as school size, location, and much much more…!

Given your academic leanings, take a look at Emory University.

“in a town outside of (near, not in) a big city”

Though it only pertains to one of your criteria, this Newsweek article can help you create a base to build off (available online):

“The 25 Most Desirable Suburban Schools”

That article aside, I could possibly see you at Vassar or Haverford.

Where in the US are you- does that matter? How about Brown? Rice? Is Vassar too far outside a major city for you?

Macalester and Carleton are great and diverse LACs in Minnesota, Boston College, and similar

I agree with the suggestions of Vassar and Haverford and would also add Swarthmore, Pomona, Pitzer, Brandeis, and Tufts. If you would consider women’s colleges, look at Scripps, Wellesley and Bryn Mawr as well.

@Qwerty568 I’m in TX, and I’m pretty much open to anywhere.
also thanks for the suggestions you guys! i’ll definitely be looking into Vassar for sure
