I am currently a junior in high school with about a 2.7 gpa (which I know is low) I have taken mostly honors courses, besides math, and I will be taking AP European History senior year.

EC....varsity cross country, french club, peer leadership, book club, volunteers at collaborative

SATs...I dont know the exact score but during my last sat prep exam (she uses old tests) I recieved about a 1700)

ethnicity...white

sex/gender...female

Does anyone know of any college options that I can consider or any advice that would increase my chances of getting into a good school? Thank you so much!!

Hi cola, I think that posters will need more information.

Have you spoken with your parents about college costs and how much they are willing to help?

In what region of the US are you interested?

Do you want a large or small school?

What majors might you consider at this time, or are you completely undecided?

Perhaps list some of the must haves for you, and some of the things you might prefer to have at college (ie: religious affiliation and which one, football team, active Greek life, near the beach, a rural location, are just some examples).

I don’t know what area of the country you are in so here’s some schools that would fit the bill for your stats (if you can get that GPA up closer to a 3.0 by end of first semester senior year). These are all Liberal arts schools. If you give all the info. that the other poster mentioned, we’ll have a lot more ideas for you. You will have college options, but you are much more limited if under a 3.0, so really work hard to get the GPA up. Use the CC college search link. It will narrow down your search faster.
