So, any advices about which collges or universities may match my info

Thx so much!

That SAT is the start of your application. That GPA sadly is going to hurt. Colleges like to see plenty of AP classes as an indication of you challenging yourself…but that backfires if you don’t do well in your classes haha

I’d advise you head over to collegeboard to start your school search. What majors are you interested in? Where do you live? Is tuition a concern? Start looking at how programs stack up against each other etc.

Good luck!

Is the GPA unweighted or weighted? That makes a big difference in ascertaining which colleges could be considered appropriate to apply to. Also how much can you afford? If you don’t know the answer to this, ask your parents for the exact amount you can pay each year. Someone with a 3.0 who can afford over $60k per year will have many more options than a student with the same stats who comes from an impoverished background. What’s your home state?

The reality is, most schools will accept you. The average four year school accepts about 3/4th of all applicants, but the media only reports on how incredibly selective a tiny slice of the higher education market is. These schools where you can count on admittance range from your local community college to Guilford College (a small Quaker LAC in North Carolina) to Evergreen State (a public hippy liberal arts school in Washington) to Arizona State. Obviously these schools are incredibly different, both in terms of overall feel and cost, so it’s important to know about any preferences you might have as far as what you want in a college.

Thx you guys a lot! My 3.0 is weighted, and I’m in MN. My gpa in first semester of junior year is bad, should I switch to regular courses to raise my gpa in second semester? Cuz i took all the AP and honor classes. Hope u guys will be successful as well!

What is your unweighted GPA? Do you know?

Really close to 3.0

Are you a senior?

How much will your parents pay? your budget will likely determine where you should apply.

Your GPA will likely keep you out of schools that give the best aid.

If you’re a junior, then you have time to bring your test scores up and maybe tweak up your GPA a bit with weighted AP classes.

Are you wanting to stay in MN?
If so look into the UofM-Twin Cities and Morris
Bethel University
College of St.Scholastica
Hamline

Or do you want out state?
Also are you leaning toward a LAC (if so, religious , non-religious or no preference) or a larger research university?
Have you thought about majors?

Honestly, the vast majority of colleges will accept you, it’s up to you to find the colleges that you really want to attend that you can get accepted to.
Good luck and if you answer my above questions I can help name some more schools for you to look into.

Thx u guys a lot. I’m a junior now. And, looking for some out of
State colleges.
