Help With College Schedule(Incoming Freshman)

Monday/Wednesday:
(Wednesday only) History 100 Discussion: 9 AM to 9:50
History 100: 10:00-11:15 AM
Dance 101, 11:30-12:45 PM
English 101: 2:30-3:45 PM.

Tuesday
Sociology 101: 4:00-6:45 PM.

Any feedback would be extremely appreciated, because I've been hearing a lot from others about 3 classes being too much for one day. My other option is switching the English class to a night class from 7:00 to 8:15, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also want to know if I should add another class to the schedule, seeing as this only amounts to 13 credits.

Your thoughts? Thank you so much.

not to bad, but are the history classes and the dance class near each other? It might be a pain to rush across campus just to get to class

History and dance classes are near each other. Actually, I changed my schedule a lot and now have a problem of my back-to-back English and Sociology classes being far apart. Oh, well…

Haven’t you got an adviser or sth.? I think in college everyone will be assigned an adviser. You may consult your adviser, who I believe will solve your problem most perfectly. :)

ps I think 3 classes for one or two days in a week are okay. you won’t be overloaded.

wrong about advisors, i’ve never been assigned one and most at my school don’t have them either.

^ahh, excuse me, but I’m kind of surprised. In my school and a couple of other schools which my friends attend every freshman has an adviser…so I take the liberty to make a generalization…

You have a very light schedule, which is normal for freshmen. There’s no issues with 3 classes in one day. As a poster above noted, just make sure that you have plenty of time to walk between classes.

There’s no reason to visit an adviser unless you want to build a relationship with him/her…An adviser’s primarily role is to make sure you’re on the right track to a timely graduation, which is totally irrelevant for a freshman because almost any course will satisfy certain graduation requirements. You’re free to take anything. Only engineers would have to start taking major requirements freshman year, and your schedule strongly hints that you’re not an engineering student.

Oh, and I personally love night classes, but they’re not for everyone. A Thursday night class could potentially be a downer because others will be out partying.
