Alright my grades aren't great (SAT in particular) but I'm having doubts about my current college list... (University of Rhode Island, U of NH, U of VT, U of Maine, SUNY Oswego, Penn State, & The college of environmental science and forestry.)

I'm a white female (From NY)
5/300
4.31 weighted (don't know unweighted)
600 reading 540 math 570 writing (I'm currently in an SAT course & will be retaking in Oct.)
I'm in all honors classes (except for electives & mandatory classes)
I've taken AP U.S History (3) And I took a syracuse bio course & recieved 8 college credits.
I'm taking AP English this year, along with calc (and I'm not sure what else because my schedule is messed up right now)
My state tests are an 85 average (don't think it even matters though) ;P
No SAT IIs
My school is pretty bad... low test scores, many who go to college go to CC, in a low-income area... only about 30 - 40 "honors" students in each grade, high gang & violence rate etc etc.

ECs: (I'm counting that I will be in them senior year - if I shouldn't take off 1 year then) =0
Math club 2 yrs (VP)
Leo Club 2yrs (VP)
Habitat for Humanity (4yrs)
Softball (2yrs) - Stopped in Junior year
Animal shelter (don't know if I should include) I only volunteered there for about 3 months then had an "incident" and decided not to go back. All other animal shelters around here require you to be 18 to volunteer. :|
(((I'd like to join women of the future this year.)))

I want to do something with the environment/animals (but don't know what) so that's why I would like a college with a lot to choose from for when I do decide.
I don't want a big party school (seems like a problem for a few of the schools on my list), and I want a medium - large school (problem for coll. of ESF). ):
I'd like to stay in the Northeast.

I don't want a "prestigious " school or anything, one that can give me a good education and I can be happy at. (:

Thanks for any help.
