I am an international student, and I have never received any advice about the Common App essay, so I am very unsure about how to write it and that stuff like that. I have managed to come up with something after reading some internet articles etc, but I am still not sure whether what I have written is OK for the Common App essay. Although I am not quite sure about giving my essays to someone I do not know, there is not really anyone else I could talk to about this - so is there anyone who would be willing to give me a helping hand? It would be much appreciated! :)

Anyone please? :(

Have fun with writing your essay and be yourself! My AP English teacher told me that colleges are really looking to see who you are, so let your personality shine through. This is your once chance on your application to show the admission officers that you’re more than just a transcript and a list of extracurricular activities. If you want someone to read it, you could probably ask one of your teachers to read it. My AP English teacher also made us read a bunch of personal statements that got people into college (there are many published ones online) just to get a gist of what a personal statement was like. Try to make the first paragraph draw the reader in. Good luck and have fun!
