HELP with CUNY HONORS college choices!

I was just starting my CUNY Honors College application when I realized that I'm only allowed to apply to ONE honors program. So, now I'm completely torn between Baruch/Hunter/Queens.

Basically, I plan to major in Economics with a solid liberal arts education. The obvious choice for an economics major would be Baruch, but I'm not so sure if their liberal arts program is as solid as Hunter's, who has an obviously weaker program for economics. As for Queens College...I do not know too much about it except that it's close to where I live, haha, and apparently it's the hardest honors college to get into.

Please share any comments/advice you have!
Thanks!

bumpbump...

CUNY Hunter is the main CUNY honors college to the best of my recollection. Full scholarship and free room (no board).

yeah they are all full scholarship but i believe only hunter gives a free room also.

my main concern is if hunter has any less of an economics program than baruch's.

I doubt it... There is probably a very minor difference, if any. I'm going to apply to hunter just because of the dorms and the location.

Have you considered Univ. of Chicago or Northwestern University ? These have been rated as the best economics undergraduate programs in the U.S.

i have, UChicago is one of my top choices! The CUNY Honors schools are kind of my safety/match schools, so if I don't get into my so called "reaches," I won't be so bummed out about going somewhere for free =)

HEY if anyone could help me out, i'm kind of confused with the CUNY honors application. Am I supposed to apply using first the general admissions application and then the macaulay honors app? or do i just disregard the general admissions one completely? i would really appreciate your help, cuny applications are due on november 1st for me!!
