Hello everyone, my son is preparing his application for Pitt, and it seems there is no space to list his ec's/awards/etc...What is the best way to send them? Should he create a resume and send it with his essay/recs? Any input would be immensely appreciated!!

I too am applying to Pitt and I noticed the same thing. I ended up choosing one of their given essay topics about describing one or more ec’s, so that’s how I did it. On the description of that essay topic, it said that the committee finds it more helpful to have a descriptive essay on them, rather than just simply a list like a resume.

Hope I helped!

My son did basically a college resume - it is a good way to get everything in one place.

It listed all his:
Academic Awards
Leadership Activites
Extracurricular Activites
Sports
Community Service
Summer Experiences (Jobs, Summer Prgrams)

Hope this helps.

DS filled out the application during a visit and submitted an essay with it. School sent transcript and we forwarded the SAT/ACT scores. Did not submit a resume or list of activities and it was never requested by Pitt.

My daughter’s school included a resume with every transcript packet it sent.

Resume was not required but we sent it with every application. Was a good way of being sure the Admissions Depts got a total view of my son.
