hello my fellas! I started the commonapp application process couple of days ago. I´ve been a little bit stuck in the essay part. not on the prompts but incredibly in the "reasons to transfer" essay. I search the internet in order to find a good example for me to have a clearer idea of how to start and what to include and all I find is examples of prompts. I´ve read that the better way to do it is to tell a experience, and add details, etc... but I also do not know how I could link a story to the reason why i want to transfer.. understand that all those tips that you find on internet do not specify on what kind of essay they work. please give me tips and examples of a good "reasons to transfer" essay.

I would start with a self assessment of why you are looking to transfer. What is lacking in your current situation? Hopefully you can generate 3 or more significant reasons. Build your essay from those. If you have a good story that illustrates one or more of your reasons, you might use it, but story telling is not as important as answering the basic question “so, why do you want to transfer?”
