I am having trouble deciding which college to put my NMS on: Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, or University of Rochester. Of course, Northwestern is very preemptive because I have not been accepted yet.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Actually, JHU does not sponsor scholarships. Right now, I am leaning toward Northwestern, because i have been offered scholarships at UMD and Rochester. Rochester is much heftier- around 50k per year, but I really really love Northwestern and would def go if I got in. Very hefty tuition though haha. Thoughts? Honestly, narrowing the debate to Rochester or Northwestern, where it is undecided if I have even got in.
@dooblydoo - you can always leave it as undecided. As I have stated on several threads, the actual scholarship from NMSC (College sponsored) is usually fairly small. The college usually offers a much larger direct scholarship as part of their “National Merit” program. This separate scholarship is outside the NMSC sponsored one. Good luck to you on your decisions.
Compare the benefits at each college. Some may not offer any NMSF scholarships, some may offer excellent advantages/perks.
