<p>I am a senior in high school and last year I decided on a major-chemical engineering with a minor in French. The thing is I don't want to set that in stone as I apply for schools and scholarships this year. I want to pin down a field of study and a college by the end of September. I realize I am asking strangers to suggest options but I live in a rural community and not very many people can give me insight for the careers I'm looking at. I'll let you know of some of my interests.</p>
<p>I really enjoys science, hard sciences and also the social sciences. I would like for the social sciences to be an aspect of my major, but not my major itself because I don't see much job stability with that. I just love learning about history and am interested in politics. I see myself in more of a scientific career because I'm not very skilled with public service, but I want to hopefully make a difference in the world.</p>
<p>I am also very creative. I like to sew, fold origami and craft in general. However, I do not see that as a major of mine, I would just like to see it as an aspect of it.</p>
<p>I really want to solidify my career choice so I can pick a college. I would like to go to either a liberal arts college and/or a college with a strong science department. I plan to have at least a master's degree or higher. I live in Minnesota.</p>

<p>I would like to hear from people with suggestions that they've had personal experience with, or at least know someone in the field they are talking about.</p>
