2 of the classes I was scheduled to take were not available.

Right now I'm scheduled to take 4 AP classes and 1 math class at the local college. Unfortunately, the dual credit class does not count into my GPA. The other three classes include a late start to the school day (kind of like early dismissal, but I just don't have to show up for first period), an online language class that again does not count into my GPA, and Model UN, which also does not count into my GPA.

My class rank is kind of low for the ivies (where I am applying to), and I had hoped that senior year classes could fix it. But I'm only taking four classes that factor in while others have the opportunity to take more.

I took 8 AP's last year, so this also might look like I'm slacking off. I really do enjoy learning and find that in AP classes the students and teachers are more passionate. I'm pretty involved outside of school with extracurriculars, and I would still be able to participate with model union but not as competitively.

should i drop model union? so i can take an extra ap class to try and bump my GPA/class rank up? a lot of my extra curriculars are kind of law related...
