Anyone know bands with deeper, more meaningful lyrics? I need to find a song that I have to decode what they are singing about, and unfortunately I'm no music buff. It can't be a song or band that is currently popular/on the charts that everyone has heard. Oh, and they can't curse too much, either. Just suggest a band to help me get started.

the mars volta

Yung Joc - "It's Goin Down" :D

Seek any group that's not singing American pop.

Steely Dan. "The Caves of Altamira" or "Kid Charlemagne" or "Doctor Wu" or "Aja" or "What a Shame About Me."
