<p>I typed my essay in Microsoft word so that I could upload it onto the common app. essay part, so whenever I try to upload the saved microsoft word document, it says The file cannot exceed 500 KB in size and should be in .doc, .docx, .wpd, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, or .txt format. So what does this mean because my essay is under the 500 word limit, and why cant it upload from Microsoft word, and is there another word processing thing that I could use to upload my essay to he common app!!!!</p>
<p>hmm… same thing happened to me. i just clicked refresh, and made sure my document was saved and closed. then it worked. </p>
<p>if not, completely close your browser, and try again. and if that doesnt work, try using firefox instead of explorer. </p>
