I've recently been accepted to UCLA, but upon reviewing my application with my counselor, she realized that I made a mistake in the part where I put my grades in. At my school, taking Honors and AP classes is reflected in your GPA. A B+ in an honors and/or AP class becomes an A in terms of GPA. This is the way I was taught to record my grades because they were supposed to reflect my GPA and vice-versa. I was not aware that, in my transcript, my grades dont change just because it does in my GPA. This is the way my grades are shown in my report cards, which is what I used to self-report my grades (I believed them to be the same as the grades in my transcript). There are three grades my sophomore year that I listed as A's when they were B+'s and three grades my junior year (my school uses a semester system), as well as a few my freshman year, but I've heard that UC schools pretty much ignore your freshman year. In addition to this, the UC applications only allow you to make your grades A's, B's, etc. as opposed to A+, A-, B+, B-, and so forth. These listed grades are the only minor differences between my transcript and my report cards. Please note that these changes in no way affect my GPA, which, in my senior year, has been in the top 3% of my grade of 800 students. I'm very worried about whether this will make UCLA rescind my acceptance! At first, I felt relieved because I remembered that my school sent my official transcript to UCLA, but I was then told that the only grades UCLA used to determine whether or not I would be accepted are those that I listed! I called UCLA and the lady on the phone told me to send my transcript to them, which I am doing, but I am freaking out. Can anybody give me any advice or tell me whether I will most likely get rescinded?

Operadad already answered this question for you. The reason you didn’t get any more responses is because we agree with him. If you really want more input bump that post rather than start a new one. They will compute your GPA based on your transcript.
Who told you this?

The UCs rely on self-reported grades for admissions, the only transcript they receive is the final transcript of students actually matriculating. I would send a letter explaining why you misreported your grades with a copy of your transcript. You might also get your school counselor to contact them. I am not sure how this doesn’t affect your GPA but the bigger issue is that you want them to realize it was an honest mistake and not intentional. A little late, but you should always use your official transcript for reporting grades on the UC application since they are self-reported and later verified by transcript. Being honest and upfront now should help as opposed to waiting to see if they catch it. Good Luck
