Any advice?

Also, I'm not even sure about my topic...I suppose the purpose of the college essay is to get across what kind of person you are, since they need some way of understanding who everyone is...and the essay sort of represents you as a person. So, a good topic would be one that helps to describe yourself.

Quad,

The only advice I can help you with when your writing your essay is to show passion. Admission folks are looking for leadership skills and passion in what you do. My son got into his #1 reach school based on his grades sure, but his essay was by far his best essay of the three reach schools that he applied. This was the essay that he worked the hardest on since this was his number one choice. Take your time and have teachers or parents proof read your work prior to sending it in. Good luck

u can't use the same essay for multiple schools?

Yeah, you can. I'd bet the prompts were different for each school though.

I'm using this same essay for 7 schools on commonapp and for USC. The rest of my schools need a "Personal Statement", so I'd use the same one for those remaining 5 (yeah, lot of schools).
