So i live in a residents hall in my college. today when i was parking my car i accidentally ran into someone, i freaked and headed up stairs to write them a note and tell them my info and when i came back down, note in hand, the car was gone. Where it occurred are no cameras and no one saw. I have no idea what damage was done to their car, if any. They obviously did not notice their car was hit or they would have filed a claim. But i still feel really guilty I did not get a chance to contact them. I only know the color of the car and not the make or plate number because I headed to get the note. What do I do?? If i was to tell the police they would not know what car it was or anything.
Report what happened to campus security and ask them to contact you if anyone with a car matching your description complains of an accident. If nothing happens, then you’re fine. If you do get contacted, then you will be able to show that you tried to leave your information but couldn’t and avoid getting into trouble.
Good luck!
This makes no sense @Mads97 . How would you have any idea if they filed a claim or not?
Report it to campus security. You do not want a hit and run on your record.
