When doing premed, can you continue on to podiatry school etc, instead of just med school?

premed's good for just about anything that's related to healthcare

its just a set of science-related courses

So doing premed also covers the prerequisites to do physical therapy if i dont get into med school?

bumppppppppppppp

You need to look at the entrance requirements from PT schools:

For example at Nebraska's PT program, you need one year of Anatomy/Physiology (ie either 1 semester Anatomy and one Physiology)

1 year of Chemistry
1 year of Physics

90 hours of college course work.

So the pre-med requirements hit part of the PT requirements.

But again, and I've said this over and over, professional schools in ANY field want to see that you have LONG STANDING INTEREST in the field (or at least were undecided THEN decided to go to PT school). You would be putting yourself at a great disadvantage if you apply to PT school without any PT shadowing/volunteering, and you probably would not get accepted...
