I am really sorry to bother people about my situation, but I sincerely appreciate any help I can get.

A little about me. First year, attended an ivy league school (to protect my identity, it is one ranked between 10-15 on us news, so that leaves cornell or brown). First semester was a lil tough, only got 3.6 gpa, taking less than 15 credits, and then second semester, picked it up close to a 4.0 over 17 credits with calculus and spanish. My gpa for the yr was good, a 3.8 gpa. However, with that said, I wasn't happy at my ivy league, so I put in a # of transfer aps. I did 4 reaches, and 4 match types. I got into all 4 matches, including Rice, Wash U, Chicago, Northwestern. The Reaches, all ranked within US News top 10, i got waitlisted at 2 and rejected by 2. I didnt apply to stanford, yale, or harvard.

B/C I just couldnt stand going back to my first yr school, I decided to transfer, but feel really apathetic/indifferent about my transfer school. I am transferring to one of the match schools, which took me forever to decide on (its in or near Chicago). As of now, I feel like I am making a mistake transferring. There is little I can do now. But, I would like to rectify the situation this upcoming spring. Does it look bad to transfer twice? I feel like my application results suffered a great deal b/c the schools in question only saw my first semester grades, which weren't reflective of my ability. My high school record is outstanding (top 2 percent, competitive high school) and SATs in the mid 1400s and SAT IIs, 3 over 720+. This record didnt seem to help me when I applied for transfer.

If I can pull out another good semester at NU, like a 3.8+ like I did at my ivy, do I have a shot at Columbia, Duke, Stanford, and Dartmouth. Stanford and Dartmouth, I should note that I never applied to either school as a freshman or transfer. Should this be an advantage?

Does it look bad to transfer twice, even if I am trying to move up?????

Plz help?????

Thanks!!!!!!
