Help...!!!!

Hey guys ,
I'm Parth ,17 years old from Calcutta ,India.
I will be taking the SAT's this October.
It was all going very nicely and my family was quite well-off financially. Now ,we've just suffered a major loss in our business and conditions have become very tough ,almost reached a state of bankruptcy.
Wanted some information on Student Loans and Scholarships that are provided to Indian students because I'll be needing them badly.
Thanks ,
Parth

Hey Parth,
International students do not qualify for financial aid at US universities. But there are a handful of small liberal arts colleges and prestigious universities which will provide full financial aid to international students but getting admitted to them is the hardest part. Here are the ones that I know of.

MIT, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Middlebury, Colgate, Williams, Grinnell and a few others I can't fully remember the name of.

I suggest you check out the website of those colleges and do your own search on google on which colleges provide financial aid to international students.

If you have any more questions, just ask.

Thanks Boomer .
I'm quite confident I'll do reasonably well in the SAT's.Apart from good SAT scores ,what are the other requisites to get into the universities you just mentioned?
And also ,are student loans a good option for under-graduate studies in the US?Planning to take up Economics after my 12th.
Thanks ,
Parth

LEADERSHIP

leadership always looks good. Good scores and community service is just the base. Everyone has perfect A's, 2300-2400 area (esp applicants of HYPS) and participate in millions of clubs.
You need leadership to stand out... class president, organiser of something, club president, etc..

as for student loans, the above mentioned colleges give out loans except for princeton or yale.. I cant remember but they just give you the 100% needed 'scholarship'.

Alot of U.S students get loans but I'm not really sure how it works interenationally.

Good luck!
