Help???

I am trying to submit my Reed supplement but the thing is I will mailing the writing sample. Because of this, I can't submit my supplement online as the Common App keeps asking me to upload a document for the question. What should I do?

email it to them!

good luck!

I just uploaded a word doc that said “I will mail this” so that the damn thing would go through.

^That is good.

Yes, just writing how you plan to send it on a Word document should suffice. That’s what I did last year.

I’m confused. If you can upload a document that says you’ll be mailing the essay, why can’t you just upload the essay? Have you not finished it??

minimomx3: OP is referring to the requested “writing sample”–like a class paper–not the “Why Reed?” essay. Chances are, OP doesn’t have a scanner and so can’t submit the paper with teacher’s grade and markings unless he mails it.

Got it. We had a similar issue- the writing sample edits were very faint. We scanned it, but mailed a hard copy. Good luck!

:) i think if you are an international then you should upload an empty document (like me) if you are not then do what other CC members told you :)
