I'm a cap student here at UTSA and was advised by my advisor to apply for Undergraduate studies as my second choice behind engineering so that should I not get in after a year when I reapply then would 'see I was truly interested in engineering'
However, upon a little investigation on my behalf I see that the Undeclared college has very limited classes you can take.. only the core curriculum which I have already completed!
I have already submitted my major choices and don't know what to do.. it seems as if I won't have any classes to take next year!! :{
Does any one know if there is anyway to switch this or what I can do?? I can't find a phone number to speak with an advisor at UT anywhere, only a number to make an appointment if you are currently a student which I am not... I'm soo freaked out here, any input would be GREATLY appreciated!
I've read in some other posts about advisors being able to switch people in the summer.. can anyone give me more information on this?
THANK YOU!!

Can you use physics (or CS) in Natural Science as a back up instead of undecided in Undergraduate Studies? Or maybe econ in LA? (I see no advantage to using undecided in Undergraduate Studies, but I could be missing something.) Can some advisor or administrator from UTSA tell you how to change?

see… that’s the problem/
I wanted to do physics as my second choice but as I was advised to do undeclared that’s what i did… and the deadline to submit the major choice was March 1st, so, it’s already been sent to them like that. Now I’m wondering if there is anyway they would be able to change it for me and if so how do i go about doing that? As the undeclared studies college only allows you to take core corriculm, thered be no classes for me to sign up for anyway… and if i did, they’d be classes i didn’t even need :confused:
Am I just totally out of luck? I’m a bit panicky thinking I’m going to have to drop out of ut if i can’t switch it simply because i wont have any classes to take and have to reapply after a year of community college, or possibly another year here at UTSA…
