Hi there, so, my high school career wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t stellar either. I was still top 5% of my class, also Asian female. If I do fairly well this freshman year of college I’m thinking of transferring from my current college to a different college. I understand that transferring into the colleges I’m about to list are tough as nails; however, I’m looking for some advice on what to do over the summer and during my college year to help my odds out. I’m currently looking at Columbia and Duke mostly but also Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Harvard. I’m not applying to all of them, but its what I’m aiming for. Excellent gpa and extracurriculars as well as tight bonds with professors is a given for freshman year but any other advice? Im planning on majoring in Engineering in college. Thanks so much for everything.
Yes you can apply if you want to.
But, the likelihood of being admitted to any of those places is very nearly zero. See if you can find a way to be happy where you are.
