Hello I am applying to Brown University early decision this fall. My ACTs were 29 which i hope to improve on october 6th. My grades are mostly b+. I have taken multiple SAT II all which i scored above 700. MY extracurriculurs are OK but my junior year had no extracurriculrs. ALL in all i believe i would have a hard time getting into brown. The one thing that I believe is going to immensely help me is that the daughter in-law of the former president of brown is going to write me a letter of recommendation. My question is will this really help me.
Note: She does know me fairly well.
Another Note: She is the last surviving family member. The president and her husband died leaving only her carrying the name.

The recommendation letter, as far as I can tell, MUST be from a teacher or a counselor. Unless she is one of those two, she can’t write a letter of recommendation letter for you.
