Here are the 10 colleges with the most alumni in the Fortune 500’s top seat

http://time.com/money/4364104/top-colleges-fortune-500-ceos/

The list is ordered by the number of undergraduate degrees conferred.

So happy to see Miami UniversityB** on the list. I cannot recommend that school enough. It is truly a hidden gem, well not to us in the area, lol.

  1. Miami(Oxford, Ohio)
  2. Stanford
  3. Princeton
  4. Wisconsin 6.Notre Dame
  5. US Military Academy 4.Texas A&M
  6. Penn State 2.Cornell
  7. Harvard

This is great, but I can’t say having my kid be a F500 CEO is on my list of things I want for them.

Who said anything about wanting that for his/her child? Its just another ranking, and nice to see a not so well known school among those that are considered elite.

??? Miami is not a LAC. But funny it has more than OSU

Miami of Ohio is a great school with a lot of wonderful programs (both at the graduate and undergraduate levels).

Someone I know who goes there for their PhD said that, even though the university is classified as an R2, going there is like getting an R1 education at a LAC. You get the best of both worlds - great mentoring/feel/school pride and top-notch faculty and opportunities (though I suppose this depends on the field/department).

@OHMomof2 I think with the "Miami plan liberal arts requirement for all students, its like everyone gets a Liberal Arts education.

@HarvestMoon1 That person is correct. My child had a great experience there with a ton opportunities. All of his classes were taught by tenured professors. I highly recommend the school.

I’m curious to know what the next 15 are.

Hey I am glad I clicked on the link… Because the article below it says that the student loan rates are going down. That’s good news for the kids taking out student loans!

With the right selection criteria, you can probably create a school that has pretty much any better than decent school in the top 20.

People need to stop ranking institutions based on a numeric metric without differentiating or factoring in the size of these institutions…

What’s the problem? Are you offended that Cornell (admittedly the largest and arguably the least prestigious of the Ivies) is #2?

Knew about Wisconsin years ago despite not caring about the business world ( I treasure UW for its other great academics). Note that half the schools listed above are public, not private.
