Hey Current Berkeley Students!!!!!!!

HEY i want to ask you a question
I think I'm goin to berkeley (undecided) over cornell engineering...
but I need to know one thing before the decision is solidified...
How hard is it to change your major from undecided to Electircal engineering?
(I know it's hard HARD, but I want to know the specifics[doesn't have to be SUPER detailed, but giving me the glimpse of it], i.e. GPA requirements, etc.)
If anybody can help me out...I owe him/her a lunch when I go to Berkeley..lol
thanks

undeclared eng. or letters and science?

letters and science

from what i heard, it's hard as hell. You should go to cornell if you REALLY want to do engineering..... it's a great school

You have to reapply to school of engineering without any guarantee. It is hard as hell like ^^ said. Cornell and all other schools give you that freedom to change major.

Don't make this stupid mistake.....u may not end up doing engineering if u r at Cal. Plus, EECS is crazy hard to get into in addition to changing colleges.

Try contacting the College of Engineeering now. I got into the College of Chemistry right after I was admitted into L & S. Once you get yourself into the College of Engineering, it will be easier to declare EECS.

If that fails...

Get good grades. Show interest in what you are you doing. You will have no trouble getting into EECS. It's actually sort of nice being undeclared in L&S since you have so many options (there is also the CS major). You can take a few undergrad classes and see if you really like the EECS major as well as judge your performance in these courses.

I have the same questions for current Berkeley EECS students.

What is the minimum GPA?

When to switch? Junior?

How hard to get the classes needed for graduation?
