I was at parents weekend and went to the engineering100 orientation with our son. The colonel there gave us a great introduction, talked about his Air Force career and answered questions. I was too far away to read his name tag, but he talked about being stationed in France for a while. He intimated that it must be the Air Force’s own twisted logic to send someone there because of his last name. He also talked about getting a Ph.D. at the University of Virginia. It was not until we were dismissed and we were out in the hall, that I thought…duh, man, that’s DocFrance. I couldn’t believe that I had missed the opportunity to shake your hand. Please forgive me and please accept an electronic handshake. I am really excited that our son is at USAFA and that he has men like you as role models. Thank you!
