To those of you who scored in the 33 and above range on English and Math, do you remember what kind questions you got wrong or through you off? Did similar questions to the ones you got wrong come up within prep? Thanks.

27 - practice test
23 - I screwed up badly, 2 hrs of sleep, and no calculator
26 - skimed through kaplan book

I noticed no one used Kaplan, is it not helpful or is the Redbook and 1296 simply “better” prep?

The hardest math questions generally change a lot. You won’t find much similarities from books. You just need the math skills to figure them out on the spot.

Daughter’s ACT 33 (35E, 35R, 34M, 29S) She ran out of time on the science portion and hasn’t taken any biology since 9th grade so she “Christmas Treed” the last five questions. No prep and doesn’t want to take it again as her SAT is a 2320 (1520 CR & M) Personally, I would like her to retake to improve science to get a 34+ composite. Oh well.

i think 33 is probably plenty.

good for her.

i got a 35 english 34 math 29 reading and 36 science (34 composite)…english i think is mostly natural knowledge of the language, almost everyone i know doesnt do very well on it. science is not science knowledge its just evaluating graphs and using common sense. math i think people have the most problems with 3-D space problems where you need to find a 2D shape to work with within a 3D shape. and i dont think i should speak for reading because obviously i didnt do well…i think most people run out of time.

31 - some stupid class that I didn’t pay attention to
31 - no extra-prep, maybe one practice test
33 - Red Book, PR, etc…

34, barely any prep.

36 English, 33 Science, 34 Math, 35 Reading.

30 composite, with a couple practice tests out of PR

35 - no studying

considering taking it again, because i didn’t take act + writing, just the act… it’s unfortunate, because I like my score so much.

Kaplan course and book. Helped little to none, no recommendation.

32 after a Kaplan Course
32 again after some studying

34 in September. Funny because I was studying mostly for the SAT and then decided not to take the SAT heh.

I would not really recommend a Kaplan course. Myfriends said Princeton Review was a lot better. Take those expensive courses only if you are unmotivated. I did take the ACT in 6th grade and got a 22…so start young XD

28 - took it cold.
33 - took it again, no prepping though.

31 (E 34, M 32, R 26, S 31) - Cold.
32 (E 30, M 35, R 27, S 35) - Did a couple of sections two days before. :/

I hate Reading.

29- little bit of studying
2290- sat a month later, moderate/hard studying (i said efff the act)

29 - cold
33 - some right after my first time, but was sick for two weeks before taking this one and “promised” myself i’d study beforehand, which i never did. lazy.
but would totally have a 35 if they would just take out the science section…

hope this month’s SAT score is good.

haha, me too blissfulting. science lowered my score a lot.

36 science

34 composite

im only planning on taking it once cuz idk how to study

1300 views and 39 responses?

surely some more of you lookieloos have taken the ACT.
