Hey, your a wonderful person, please chance me!

I am in the class of 2014. I am going to be a junior. I am a Chinese American living in California.

I would like to go to UCSD. So far I don't know what to major in, but it will probably be Bio or Computer Science.

I would greatly appreciate it if you guys review my grades and tell me my chances. Thanks!

I hope that the colleges won't care about that B in P.E., I was doing stupid things, and so it marked me down a letter grade.

My first PSAT score was: 152 (I know its bad)

BUT, I've worked on my math and I get around 600s for math now, I don't know about reading and writing.

Also I took an online practice ACT, and I got a 26-27.

I'm going to take a two week long SAT boot camp class though, so hopefully I can greatly improve these scores.

So far, I've done 2 years of Swimming

I have not volunteered yet, but I will.
I plan to volunteer to teach old people how to use the computer, and I plan to volunteer to help clean up the bay.

Also, if this helps, I will do life guard training, and next summer I will life guard at my local pool.

I've taken Intermediate Algebra in Summer School last year, and got a B. This year I'm taking a Introduction to Composition and Writing class, and I predict an A-.
Next year, I plan to take AP US History and AP English as my APs. Also, I'm going to take this period where I just go and tutor kids in math.
Senior year, I plan to take AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP English, and maybe one or two more.

I know that my SAT scores ruin a lot of my chances, but I'm sure I'm going to raise it up to hopefully around 1850-2050

Please tell me if I have a chance. Thanks. Sorry for any spelling errors. Also, I'm going to improve my SAT scores.

Yes you need to take like Honors and AP’s now but make sure that you can handle the workload because I can see here that you are jumping from none advanced classes to all the AP’s possible. Work hard though.

Your grades are kind of okay but not great compared to the rigor of courses.

You really need to start doing community service or volunteering and trust me don’t wait until your senior year.

For your PE class, they don’t even ask it on the application or it’s ok to get a D in PE I don’t think they care. I got a B in my first quarter of high school.

A 152 is not bad if it was first time but be sure to work hard on it because to me you are an average student which means kinda hard of getting accepted which means you have to increase your chance by doing things to make yourself stand out from the crowd.

Ask again in a year. Very unlikely at this point. No rigor and below average weighted gpa. Pe doesn’t matter. A lot of work needed on your sat as well. I would suggest ucsd as your miracle school and have a lower uc like santa barbara or irvine as ones that you could find acceptable.

Practice your and you’re until it is totally second nature, even for internet forums. It will help on the writing for SAT.

Thank you for the advice. Also, my GPA is 3.71 unweighted so far.
