I've been reading a lot about Harvard admissions but I've never seen a thread about exchange students. I'm a Rotary Youth Exchange Student this year in France and I'm wondering if this will give me an advantage over other students or if it's typical of Harvard applicants to spend a year studying abroad.
Thanks in advance for your responses!

All the exchange students I’ve known have done really, really well in college admissions. Like, better than they maybe should have done. As long as your academics and SAT is on par, it could give you the extra boost you need. Just make sure it doesn’t come across like you went on the exchange so you could get into Harvard, haha
