Heyy..can I get in?

So, I have a 3.33 GPA..and i got a 27 on my first ACT..but i'm pretty sure i'll be getting at least a 30 on the next one because I've studied like crazy (seriously). I have done a lot of music activities. I've won awards and participated in everything I can. I also have leadership positions within my school's music programs.
I want to get into the CLA.. do you think I can?

With 27, probably. With 30, almost certainly. Apply early. Good luck.

GPA is a little low, but your ACT is pretty much average for CLA. So depending on the major you apply for, I’d say your chances right now are about 50%. If you can raise your score to a 29+, I think your chances jump significantly… to about 85% I’d say.

My son had an ACT of 29 on this first try, but only a 3.3 GPA and was waitlisted at the CLA. On the 2nd go around, he was denied admission. Several of his URM friends were accepted though with lower ACT’s and GPA’s. I’m not sure exactly what they are looking for, but ACT score doesn’t seem to help much. Definitely have some back ups in mind, just in case.
