Hi everyone, I was wondering if you all could chance me. I am a senior in h.s/ freshman in college looking to go to UIUC, UIC, or UIS. My high school stats haven't been the greatest, but I figure that I have nothing to lose. The list as follows:

GPA High School Un-weighted: 2.8 Weighted: 3.0
ACT: 25 composite : 30 English, 24 Math, 26 Reading, 21 Science
I do plan to retake it as my scores have drastically improved since then.

I received an F my Junior year due to issues at home that impacted my performance; however, I do not intend to dwell on that to create a sob story for the admissions directors. I just want to admit my mistakes and be the best student that I can be from this point on.

College GPA: 4.0

I have a flawless college GPA as of now and I intend to keep it that way. I am taking General Chemistry and another class on top of AP/IB classes in high school.

Extra-curricular activities:

-Dog Club [Founder/President] : Helped spread awareness of animal abuse and fund-raised for animal shelters.

-Science Club [President] : We tried our hand at experiments and the sort. This club was just for people that really enjoyed the sciences and wanted to have a better understanding of how some concepts worked.

-AVID College Club [President] : We helped get kids on track with college. I come from a school where most kids aren't on track with their studies, so this was a great way to reach out to them and their parents, informing them about the importance of college.

-Model U.N : Global issues, this was a great way to get informed on many of today's issues.

-Choir [Section Leader] : It is my responsibility to teach my section and help my section when they have trouble with their part.

There's many more but these are the main ones.

I really don't want to make any excuses to anyone. I intend to keep a flawless college GPA because I want to be a med student, but what do you all think my chances are? I will chance back. Thanks!
