I’m applying to a school that does not superscore, which should I submit?
June it’s much more well rounded.
See, I was going to say Sept because it shows strength in 3 areas and only a weakness in Science. What do you want to study? If Science or Engineering, go with June. If anything else, go with Sept.
I personally think the september is better. Science isn’t really science, just reading with numbers and graphs. I think your reading score demonstrates your ability to read. Great super score though!
I would still send both…
Self report your highest subscores on the Common App and SEND BOTH scores. Even schools that don’t superscore will notice how well you did in each subject area.
Even though the schools say they don’t super score you should definitely send both. Your English score is so much stronger the 2nd time. They will look at both.
Was there quite a bit of studying between the first and second test?
“Test scores are estimates
of your educational development. Think of your true achievement on this test as being within a range that extends about one standard error of measurement, or about 1 point for the Composite and writing scores, and 2 points for STEM, ELA, and the other test scores, above and below your score.”
The ACT sort of a range they expect you to score in if you were to take the test. Like your scores plus or minus 2 points.
That rule is generally shown in your scores but not in science. I wouldn’t send in a score that went down significantly, but that’s just me.
