Meanwhile, we went to an open house thing at Wyoming Seminary last weekend and we were highly impressed. Lots of love of learning going on there - my husband adored the lower school’s eighth-grade history classroom, which he compared to a kind of please-touch museum… hoping for some good results there for my kids, who are in different private schools, not boarding.

It’s definitely an adjustment some kids struggle with more than others. Some kids have successfully hacked into the school wifi but that’s been upgraded to be pretty impenetrable.
It’s so refreshing and nostalgic though to see teenagers wandering around asking “have you seen so and so?” When they need to find a friend.
For my daughter, after 3+ years she has a great balance with social media (which they do use) and texting. It’s very minimal but still enjoyable. She uses her cell phone as a necessity and not a pass time (unlike her mother
