I got a 1610 (M/CR/W- 650/510/450) in my recent SAT which I’ve taken during June. And my superscore is 1640.
According to WES, my GPA through high school from 9th grade to 12th grade is 4.0
So my queries are?
- What are my chances of getting into a good coll for UG in the US considering my scenario?
- How do they actually convert my Indian GPAs?
- Is it worth the amount of money u spend for UG itself in US or rather I could do a Masters later?
And Yeah, I’ve got some few music certificates from Trinity.
P.s - I’m an Indian national.
For 2), according to CBSE in India, 91-100% is A1. These A1’s are said to be A’s here (90-100%). If you make all
A’s (90-100%) on each subject/class, you will have a weighted GPA of 4.0/4.0. When it comes to your unweighted GPA, if you are able to produce numerical transcripts of your grades (like 97% in math etc.), those will transfer exactly. Otherwise, they give you 95% on every subject if you have an A.
For 3), an undergraduate education in USA is expensive for intl students. However, it gives you more knowledge and freedom to choose your interests than the conventional study programs of India.
Hope my post gives you some clarity…
