<p>Junior year is so incredibly important. To be blunt, unless you’ve done something amazing it doesn’t look like those grades are gonna land you in any Ivies. But I’m not gonna discourage you from applying at all, better to try than not at all!</p>
<p>On the contrary, actually. I had a similar talk with my brother. My brother had fantastic extracurriculars and a great essay. He also received a 34 on his ACT; he got into Cornell, Duke, Harvard, and got waitlisted from Yale. He currently attends Cornell. He said that he had 3 C’s in Junior Year. Granted, he took Senior level classes and above as a Junior, and his recommendations were amazing. But it’s not out of the picture.</p>
