I'm a junior, I was getting GPA of 4.0 in freshmen and sophomore year. In junior year I messed up my GPA and it fell down to 3.5. I know that junior is the most important year of all but would I STILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET INTO THE IVY LEAGUE? My dream school is in there and i don't know my chances. Should I give up or try harder? Please help :(

Weighted or unweighted?

Are you getting a 3.5 in just your junior year so far? If so, it won’t drop your cumulative GPA (Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Year) substantially. It also depends on your test scores. If you can get a 2200+ SAT or 34+ ACT, you’ll be competitive. Also, you need to be involved in clubs/sports and getting leadership roles. It also depends on what Ivy League school you are looking at. Cornell is a lot easier to get into than Harvard.
