High Match or Low Reach? Which is it? I'll chance you if needed!

<p>Hi guys, I'm looking at applying to Johns Hopkins Early Decision, and I just wanted to know whether my stats make the school a low reach or high match for me. Thanks! If you want me to chance you or anything, leave a link with your response!</p>

State: Pennsylvania
First generation immigrant from Russia (came here in 3rd grade)</p>

GPA: Weighted --> 4.69
Unweighted --> 3.62</p>

<p>SAT Reasoning: 2210
SAT Subject tests: U.S. History (700) Literature (720) </p>

<p>Class rank: top 11%</p>

<p>Classes:
Sophomore Year --> Western Civ. Honors (A), English 2 Honors (A), Latin 3 Honors (A), Chemistry Honors (A), AP US Government (B+), Algebra 2 Honors (B)</p>

<p>Junior Year --> AP English Language (A), AP Physics (B+), AP US History (A), Creative Writing Honors (A), Psychology Honors (A), Latin 4 Honors (A), Trigonometry/Precalc Honors (C+) (weakest link; my first C+ in my entire academic career)</p>

<p>Senior Year --> AP Literature, AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Calc AB, AP Econ, Astronomy Honors</p>

<p>RECOMMENDATIONS:
1 very strong one from my AP US History teacher (she loved me and I was one of the few people who had the highest grades in the class)
1 very strong and passionate one from my Mock Trial coach (stressing my hard work and dedication and how I grew to be one of our best attorneys through the 3 years I've been on the team)</p>

<p>You have good stats with the 2210 and many APs though that C+ may hurt as well as not really having any officer positions in clubs and such.
I think it will be a reach but you can certainly manage it!</p>

<p>JHU is almost always a reach. Your stats fall within the accepted ranges, though, so it’s definitely achievable!</p>

<p>It is definitely a reach. Although your SAT is around admission average, your GPA is low.</p>

<p>Low reach, as your UW GPA is low for JHU. Otherwise, your stats are impeccable, and you have a great shot at admission :)</p>

<p>High match I think. There is a huge difference between RD and ED for JHU. With your SAT scores along with the extracurriculars, I think that you are a high match. Though I would recommend trying to improve the UWGPA somewhat.</p>
