Okay so I go to a smallish private school in Virginia which has a good academic reputation, with the general public and with High Point University. Most people who apply to High Point from my school get in. Okay, so I'm a sophomore now and I'm taking Biology, Algebra II, Spanish III, World History II, and Honors English II. Freshman year I got a 3.2 gpa and this semester I got a 3.33. I play varsity lacrosse and I don't participate in any clubs. The important thing is that I'm not planning on taking math or Spanish IV next year. Would not taking those classes harm my chances of getting into High Point even if I do continue to get a 3.3-3.5 GPA? Also any info about High Point would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’m looking at high point too. with your current gpa you’ll be a stretch to get in as it is. HPU does care about character/clubs, so I’d suggest getting involved a little. And if you want to get into any semi-good school at all, I would definitely take math as a junior. Hope that helps!
No matter what college you’re applying to, take math junior year. You’ll have to take the courses in college anyways, and most people will have taken precalculus or even a year (or more) of calculus when they get to college.
