High Reach, Low Reach?

What do these mean? Does that mean I have to "Reach High and try" to get into a school or does that mean I have a "High chance of getting into a school if I just Reach?"

I did a chance thread and someone just went HIGH REACH LOW REACH MATCH LOW REACH MATCH MATCH and I got confused.

Low Reach means that it is closer to being a match but still slightly above you realistically. High reach means it will be very very difficult for you to get in more than a normal reach would be. Usually, people apply this to schools they believe you have no shot at like an Ivy or what not.

is high match better than low match?

yea, high match means your chances are higher

High reach (99% chance you wont get in)
Reach
Low reach
High Match
Match (fits almost perfectly, you’ll probably get in)
Low Match
Safety (you will get in)
