High SAT Score?

Yeah. It's just weird cuz I go to this little tiny girl school in Hawaii...this little tiny island. And everyone's really relaxed there. Everyone's like, laid back and most people don't even think about colleges. They take like, maybe one or two AP classes and are happy with a 1800 on the new SAT. They surf and hang out with friends during the weekends and don't give colleges a second thought. And then I come here and it's like, "wow. these people are hard core." It's amazing.

lol. sounds like its not an environment very conducive to study. :)

Hahaha. Yeah its really not. But idk...there's something about it that's nice. Like people aren't obsessed with what college they'll get accepted to. Like people learn because they want to and don't learn because they don't want to. Know what I mean? A friend of mine forgot the SATs until that morning when I called her and got a perfect score. Her reaction when she got it in the mail: When did I take this thing again?

know that you are better than that test!

but, knowing that, know that you have to focus on every problem, to avoid stupidity.

"i never read novels. that's probably my problem. the only things i ever read are newspaper/magazine articles, subtitles when they speak in a foreign language in a movie, store signs, billboards, stuff on the internet, CC forum posts, the Bible, chess books, guitar tabs, etc etc etc."

It's fine that you don't read novels. I HATE fiction and haven't read more than half of a novel in the last year. I read a lot of non-fiction, especially about science. That's how I got my 800 CR. It is a lie that you have to read fiction.
