High School Class Delima

Hey everyone!

So I’m about to be a senior in high school, and I’m having a bit of trouble working out the scheduling for my classes in the fall. My school is unable to accommodate me completely and I’m having to make some sacrifices. Right now, I’m considering taking government and Econ as a correspondence course through the University of Texas as opposed to taking a regular high school course. The only way I would be able to take AP Gov and Econ is if I dropped AP Bio and took AP Chem (which I am terrible at!)

What do colleges think of correspondence courses? Does it look like I was trying to take the easy way out. I’m seriously considering majoring in Political Science, so this is really important. Thank you so much!

They won’t know you dropped ap bio, Unless you do it during the school year.

You don’t really need to have both gov and AP econ in high school, even if you want to major in poli sci. Some involvement in elections, for example, might demonstrate your interest in that field. At some schools, like Princeton or Harvard, the first econ course is taught by famous professors and it would be a shame to pass out of that.

If you can, change your inquiry. You spelled dilemma wrong.
