you guys have applied to A LOT of schools!

Stanford: Waiting
Yale: Denied
Harvard: Denied
University of Nebraska Lincoln: Accepted
Colorado State University: Accepted
University of Southern California: Accepted
Pepperdine University: Accepted
Brown Univerisy: Accepted
Rice University: Waiting
Notre Dame University: Waiting

How do you already know about the Ivies?

Applied to Georgetown EA and hoping that can be the end of my list!

Anyone else going stir crazy over the wait? In about 3 wks ill be finding out from half my list sporadically until mid january and the days seem to be dragging because i know everything i’ve worked for over the past 4 yrs will finally hopefully result in some acceptances soon. I have had consecutive dreams of being both rejected and accepted from my top choice which makes the wait even more excruciating.

once you get the first you will relax a lot! My first was a SUPER safety but that made a HUGE difference and it lifted a huge weight off of my shoulders!

What Jazzii said. The anxiety subsides once you get your first. My first was also a safety, but it’s still an overwhelming feeling of calm once you’ve been accepted somewhere.

I hope so…I should be hearing from Pitt any day now, but I am a VERY impatient person, so im going to be torturing myself until i hear from ND lol

I’ve gotten into four schools so far (all safeties) and just the fact it’s official I have the option of going to college comforted me A LOT. I won’t be hearing back from a lot of my schools for several months (a few of my early actions I’ll hear back from in December). The fact I have to wait until April to see if I get into NYU or not is torturous.

My top is Pace & Admissions said end of December or July… But I’d be happy at 2/3 schools I’ve been accepted at

My top is Pace too. They only notify by mail, right? Does the check status thing tell you if you got in? (With the exception of Brandeis and NYU. But I’m not counting on either one.) College mail takes 4 days to get here, so I’m hoping it’ll tell me.

Just got accepted to Tulane with merit money. One down!

I’ve only applied to one so far, I haven’t received any acceptances and I’m stressed! My list has grown from 4 at the beginning of the month to 7 (plus an application that is sent to 30+ schools). It’s hard for me to write essays, I never feel that they are good enough. Where did you guys get help for your essays? Like who did you let read them?

i have no clue!!! I have to look for the portal thing i didn’t even know it was there,

It says you can see your application status. All it’s done for me is told me that they’ve receive all of my materials

Yeah, I saw. I’m not sure… I mean I know for Saint Rose they didn’t post it, they only posted that they received everything

It’ll probably come while I’m in IA, so I’ll have to wait even longer. The admissions officer said we’d know by Christmas.

:O he did?! if it comes like the 23rd I’m gonna leave it unopened for after new years because if I don’t get in I will not have a merry xmas or a happy new year.

I’ll have to wait if it comes after the 22nd. We leave for IA on the 22nd.

I’d still want to know. I’ll have the other decisions too, so if it is a rejection letter hopefully it won’t be too bad. It’s going to bug me if it doesn’t come before we leave because then I know it’s in the mailbox, and I’ll know it’s there. KWIM? I’m far too impatient to wait longer than necessary, lol.
