Problems of an insecure high school student

I got my acceptance letter to TCNJ today. This is very good news because, in case of a financial emergency before I graduate, TCNJ was my #1 in-state school to attend. 5 for 5 for admissions!

I’ve applied to 11.

Got into Tulane a month ago. My ED and by far first choice is WUSTL.

Besides that I applied EA to UMich and RD to Emory. Really hoping Wash U works out, but if not I’ll most likely change my Emory app to EDII.

My cousin goes to WUSTL and loves it there. Best of luck to you!

I was heavily debating doing an ED app for Duke, but I’m so torn between Duke and UCLA (this is assuming I do not get into Columbia, which is my number one (but unrealistic) choice). I’m becoming very impatient regarding hearing back from my schools

I am supposed to be hearing back from BC tonight.

I can barely breathe.

Notre dame sent out their letters today so I should get mine on Monday… This is going to be a looonng four days

Accepted:

Awk. First choice. Should I bother applying to other places?

I wouldn’t waste the money if I knew I could pay for the college I got into…

Personally, I only applied to the college I want to go to and one other because the other was free and it was before I decided I want to go to Longwood

Accepted:
Ball State
Indiana State
Valpo
Indiana Tech
University of Southern Indiana

Unsure:
Purdue

I’m applying to 24-27 schools total, contingent upon whether or not I get into Georgetown tomorrow (!), which I am not counting on. I do feel lucky to have been accepted to 8/10 of my safeties so far:

Lewis & Clark College (just got an email an hour ago, hoping for $$$)
Beloit College ($20k a year)
University of Minnesota ($5k a year)
University of Illinois (just found out today; can’t afford w/o merit aid, even though I’m in-state -______-)
University of Alabama (full tuition <3)
Drake University
($14k)
Iowa State University ($7 or 8k)
Ohio Wesleyan University (90k) but I don’t really wanna go her and I wish I hadn’t wasted a spot on my Common App

Still waiting on Lawrence and Wooster as far as safeties go. Colorado College is next week, too! Aaaaah!

I’ve been feeling pretty insecure the past few days, what with my classmates getting into schools like Northwestern, Wesleyan, etc. It’s tough, but I’m hoping for Carleton, Bowdoin (maybe…), Oberlin, and a few other LACs. Best of luck and congratulations to all.

Accepted early action to Yale yesterday. No more apps for me. :)
