High School Class of 2015

most asians I know either play lacrosse, golf, or water polo

Here, where 30% of the pop is Asian, all the Asians do swimming, track, or cross country (which coincidentally I’m doing).

The asians around me all either swim or play tennis. and almost every asian plays the piano. I know one asian who plays the volleyball and is really good at it. Another asian who is a figure skater. Those are only two exceptions. everyone else swims.

@Golfcrew you’re brave if you want to be a doctor!

How is is brave?

regarding my post above it is supposed to say how is it brave and for some reason I can’t find the edit thing

Guys, if you have any questions regarding testing/courses/life feel free to ask. I’ve accumulated a bit of knowledge over the past 3 years :P

MY SCHOOL IS OVER!!! :D

golf, I agree with nomatterwhat that you’re brave. I don’t know what s/he meant but I mean you’re not afraid of blood and operating on human body. I think I might pass out to do what a doctor needs to. :p

@digerati, how many years have you been in HS? I do have a question for you - If I’m taking algebra II next year, when do you think I could plan to take subject SAT II?
Also, does anybody know if FL SAT II (in any language - I’m thinking in particular French or Chinese) very hard?

I’ve heard that the french SAT II is really hard, but I’m not sure about the chinese one.

good luck to yall freshman, dont try too much unless you can absolutely handle it, and dont think high schools gonna be really hard, just study and try your best and apply yourself and high school will be easy. haha

I’m currently a Junior who is about to become a senior. You could probably take the Math SAT IIc your sophomore year. It tests on some elementary precalculus topics. However, if you are motivated you could buy a prep book and take it this year if you ** really ** want to. The test really is quite straightforward and the precalculus covered isn’t difficult at all.

Have you taken AP Calc BC?

No, I’m set to take it next year.

Yeah that’s what I plan to do - my school moves so slowly in math it’s almost unbearable but I have to live with it. So I’m doing algebra II in 9th grade, trig/precal in 10th, then I hope to take SAT Math II. BTW, does anyone know if taking subject SAT math I better or math II?

haha golfcrew I meant exactly what SHMLUZA said. I can’t see blood!

I heard that its best, for competitive colleges to take Math 2, mainly because it’s harder. But there’s no crime in taking math 1.

^^ are you the same way with shots? most people I know who are afraid of blood are terrified of shots too. Also I’ve heard that with SAT math 2 test it is graded easier than the math 1 test.

Blood makes me nauseous. I once played through a baseball game with a broken hand, but I’m scared of blood.

I’m fine with blood

politicalprotege- that took good decision making skills

@digerati- for students who are doing challenging cousrework and tons of ECs what would you suggest for time management?

I’ve also heard that SATII has better curves than SATI. so I’m going to try hard to finish precalculas by the end of 10th grade and do SATII at that time.

Today I’m going to the pool with some of my not-very-smart friends. sometimes you have to do that. wish you guys were nearby.

shmluza- do you divide your friends by smart and not-very-smart? because that’s a healthy outlook. haha

The SATI has a horrible curve, so the SATII is better to take even though it has harder material. I think i am going to take the SAT MathI after 9th grade (I’ll be done with Algebra II) and then I’ll SAT MathII after 10th (I’ll be done with precal)

^I do the exact same thing with my friends. haha
