<p>No, in my school you can take them as electives freshman year, and they are mandatory 10-12.</p>
<p>Oh, that’s cool. At my school it’s mandatory in 9, 11, and 12 but it’s an elective sophomore year.</p>
<p>That seems kind of random. Will you be taking it as an elective, do you think, as a sophomore? Or is that too far off? I pretty much now my schedule for my entire time in high school, but a lot of people don’t plan that far ahead.</p>
<p>I plan to take a social studies class all four years since it’s my favorite subject.</p>
<p>It is my favorite, along with Math and Languages, but in order to take the two languages that I wanted, I had to give up one of my electives. I will take Social Studies electives in other years, if I have enough time.</p>
<p>Oh, that makes sense. Looks like we have something in common. Math and social studies are both my favorite subjects. I don’t know about languages yet, this will be my first year being formally educated in a language. </p>

<p>Not really, I am volunteering at my library, and I am going on day trips with my family, so I am not tired!</p>
<p>Haha, I’ve had nothing to do all summer. I’m going to a book signing on Thursday and vacation in two weeks, but besides that I haven’t done anything!</p>
