<p>@carpediem I’ve heard that, too. To be honest, I’ve never really had much of a social life to begin with so I don’t really care, haha.</p>
<p>I don’t really care either! Have a wild social life in high school (like that would ever happen for me! 
) or try to get into the best universities in the world? Hmmmmm… Do I really have to think about this one? :)</p>

<p>I know, but to me I would rather have a better future than lots of parties in high school. But, I have different motivations and aspirations than the majority of the kids that I go to school with, so it is nothing new!</p>
<p>Hey you guise, I just got back from Canada and I want to know what I missed. 
I’m too lazy to look back, and I want to see how it’s perceived but the people who were involved.</p>
<p>^^ I just got back from Canada too! Canada is the best! But now I have to start getting into the ‘high school is about to start mode’.</p>

<p>Yup, the 23rd to be exact. Even though that’s more than a month away, I start band camp next week which lasts until school starts, so this is basically my last week of summer. :(</p>

@EveningSwan!! I was going to do color guard this year which required about 3 weeks of band camp, but I decided to pursue a different sport…golf!! I’ve never actually ever played golf-maybe once or twice with my dad, so it’s going to be interesting…how long have you been playing golf?!! BTW, my school starts on September 4…seems far away, but it’s getting closer by the minute!!</p>
<p>@TryToFindMe Lucky! We have two weeks of band camp, but for the third week, I have a three day orientation for high school, more marching band, and golf. We practice six hours a week during school…I think. What do your uniforms look like? I’m always curious about the different uniforms schools wear.</p>
<p>@Foodlover001 Yay for golf!!! Ahh…I can still remember that first year so clearly. I started in fifth grade and you see, I used to go to a poor school so the only way a golf team could exist would be if we golfed in the winter. I would be wearing layers after layers of clothing just for one practice. The good thing is that I lived in near the desert, so there was hardly any snow.</p>
<p>I wish I could go to Canada, especially Vancouver. It looks so pretty on all of those Travel Channel shows. <em>nerd</em></p>
<p>@EveningSwan: We don’t even have golf until high school. I mean, there are rec centesr, with an 18 hole outdoor golf courses, but it’s not linked to middle or elementary schools that I know of!! Adults usually go to country clubs or golf courses to practice, but golfing isn’t a huge sport where I live. It’s more of basketball, football, and lacrosse. I’m soooooooo bad at golf. I don’t even know what each club represents. That’s why I’m hoping that being on the golf team will help make me better understand and play the game of golf!!!</p>
<p>^^Golf at my old school was basically a social, sorta learning team. I mean, we learned some of the basics, but we never competed (unless you count making bets on who will hit the golf cart that picks up balls). I’m sure you’ll do great!!! Lots of the girls on my golf team have only golfed for a few times, and they’re already pretty good.</p>
<p>I think that anywhere in Canada is gorgeous, except for the really northern part. We stopped by Montreal, and it was beautiful. There’s a river, wildlife, and trees! And, the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. (Sounds like Goldilocks lol)</p>

<p>Oh of course! I’m going to soccer preseason in a while but I have to start training Monday. The workouts are intense.</p>

<p>What’s upp. A little late to this party, but I’m class of '16. Anyone else here going to boarding schools this fall? I’ll be attending Phillips academy, Andover.</p>
