I can’t wait! I’m probably supposed to be nervous, but I’m not at all. I feel more prepared than I thought I’d be, so I don’t really think I have anything to worry about, for the most part. But yeah, I’m really excited!

The only things I’m dreading are those icebreaker games some teachers make you do to get to know each other. I hate those. :/

First day was pretty good, tgough i didnt have any classes with my “closer” friends. I got lost going to Biology but I figured it out. And a couple of my classes are Senior/Junior filled, or really small in size

Do you guys think i should do band. We had some summer practices and i hate them and hate, playing my instrument. Its either band or some easy classes like foods and computers?

If you really can’t stand band, then don’t do it. Entering high school, I quit orchestra because I really didn’t like it. So that will probably bite me in the butt, but (no pun intended lol) whatever. I guess my TV production class could be considered an easy class but it’s interesting so I don’t really care.

I would give it a try for a couple of weeks; then, if you really hate it, do something else. I hated the first few days of marching band, but now I love it.

Oh, and advice from someone who’s been in both band and orchestra: it’s a pain if you don’t enjoy it. Why spend (at least) a year in a class that you absolutely hate when you could be enjoying another easier class? (unless you’re going for an AP or honors class, or something)

I just played my most interesting and longest round of golf/golf match. The course overbooked so we backed up lots of people. So many people dropped the F- bomb on us, and needless to say, I’ll never play there again.

I almost did band in middle school. I also tried teaching myself how to play the piano in 8th grade, got one for my 14th birthday, and grew bored with it within 1 or 2 weeks, (maybe 3 or 4, I can’t remember). I’m so impatient!!! Haha.
But if there’s one instrument I’m oh-so skilled at, it’s…

The recorder. Lol, but who doesn’t know how to play it? I think everyone was forced to play it in elementary school xD

^Yeah, we had to start playing the recorder in 3rd grade. After 6th grade, I never used it. @EveningSwan: Did you do well? You seem so good at golf. I’m terrible. LOL!! I hope I get better.

I still use my recorder occasionally. My cousin has lessons for the recorder which I think is pointless, since he’ll eventually learn it in school. (He’s 6)

^No!!! Well, actually everyone did pretty bad, but we managed to win. We almost got hit by balls coming from behind…atleast I left the course without any injuries. :)

@EveningSwan: The Varsity team at our school won, and I recognize some of the boys since 3 of them were in my classes last year. Those boys are really good. Two of them got like an 83 and 85. I’ve barely played golf before, so I’m just playing with the girls. I hope I do well. I’m terrible. LOL!

Swinter - Thanks! I just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird, haha. The year hasn’t even started yet and I’m already procrastinating and cramming. :P

Thank you for the advice collegeboundJon :)
