I’m probably over thinking what “slacking off” means, but don’t slack right at the start of a year!

What are everyone’s favorite songs right not? I like royals (lorde), summertime sadness (Lana del ray), roar (Katy perry), and brave (Sara bareilles) :D

I like:
Freezing. By Aika Kobayashi
Replay. By Zandaya
Brick By Boring Brick. By Paramore
Hallejuah. By Paramore
And tons of others

Yeah, I’ll make sure I don’t slack off… What I love about my school is that we can study before class and at lunch in the library. That’ll be really helpful

So I had my freshman before school thing and basically they give you your locker and breakfast (bagels and bad tasting orange juice) And afterwards they organize you in rooms alphabetically by last name with 4 peer leaders. The peer leaders tell you about high school like the real truth not the lies teachers say. They also told us about Freshman Friday and basically all my school does is write a F on your shoulder. But they only do that if you know sophomores or upperclassmen.

I’m only taking:
Algebra 1 (--) <------- SO annoyed because I am, wanted Geometry, but I didn’t take the Regents and was In Pre- Algebra in 8th grade
Spanish 2 (Along with Geometry is the only honors class)
Global Literature (Being Covered in both History and English)
Biochemistry (For both 9th and 10th grade)
Gym
Art (Yay! ^^)
Health (Only for Freshman year)
Advisory (We stick with the same advisories for all 4 years with upperclassmen, which helps us learn and also helps to keep in check with academic status)

Maybe it was a bad idea (blame the counselor + parents). One is AP Human Geo, which is kinda a fluffy course though.

My AP lang teacher is assigning a lot of busy work. Bleh public schools.
Math (honors calc) and AP Chem have been pretty hard, but good. I’m trying to review stuff I forgot and quickly learn stuff I’m supposed to already know (like the lovely Cramer’s rule).
My foreign language AP is killing me. I should NOT have taken a year off.

…and computers is a total joke and waste of time.

@sciencekidd that’s still a pretty good course load. What’s your favorite class?

^ That’s why I decided not to take APHG + AP Gov. But I’ll take APWH and AP Stats next year.

Algebra II is kicking my @$$. I was still in summer mode, so I royally screwed up on the first quiz of the year. But we just had a test today, and I think I got a 98% on it, so I think I’ll be alright for now. Gotta get more 100’s though.

Bio is super frickin easy…duh.
In Lit we just read and annotate Dr. Seuss stories…lol it’s not even a real class.
In Chinese I just play on my phone the whole time…it’s a waste of time to even pay attention in that class.
AP Gov is easy, but I have to pay attention since it’s a lot of memorization.
Then I have Engineering, which is really easy too.

@Sg
Thanks My favorite class would be Biochem. Although I’m pretty sure I’m already ahead despite the common core standards :P

My classes are reallyyyyy interesting… The selection of courses are rather vast.
In Biochem the teacher said at the orientation that we’re going to start with atoms and then into the chemical processes within organisms. I’m already pro at these topics so it won’t be a problem.
In Global Lit. We take Geography as well… Why…

^^^ I’m taking aphg because its the only ap class freshmen at my school can take.

I’m also taking algebra 2, English (my school doesn’t have honors English for 9th graders, ugh.), physical science (REALLY basic physics/ chemistry), aerobics (required), and a marketing class.

I feel very ready to take it head on. My teacher gave us math from Singapore which has the hardest math curriculum in the world. Feel’n ready XD

Our teacher was very tough. She made sure we understood the material until we mastered all of it. As a result she succeeded and I ended off with a 95.

Oh yeah, I’ve taken Singapore math before!

I’m taking algebra 2 this year, and I did algebra 1 last year, and next year we do geometry. I think every school pretty much covers all the basics, but just at different times/grades.

Cool
See, your course order actually makes sense, while mine doesn’t. We take Algebra 1, Geometry, AND THEN Geometry. Makes no sense why they would put Geometry smack dab in the middle. Unless Pre-Cal covers more trigonomic functions, discussed in Geometry…
