(whoops, posted in the wrong thread).

Congrats!!! Thats is such a huge accomplishment. Our division is Open so there was hardly anyone to compete against in preliminary, but second overall is a huge step up than last year (7th place)…
Hc on Halloween? Are you gonna go with someone haha:) Trick or Treating together or haunted house could be a night activity.
Good luck on SAT BIO. You got a good range to me, its so close to 800, but keep studying hard this week!! We have faith in you:)

I have ACT tomorrow…I dunno…it’s complicated. It’s not reeally the ACT. It’s like…ACT Prep that everyone has to take.

@violinvirtuoso3

Lol, our school only has Spanish. We used to have French, but it got cut because the Superintendent thinks Spanish is more important, but now we’re getting Japanese I for grant money or something.

@topaz1116

How do you know your calender and schedule weeks and months in advance off the top of your head? O.o

Being a sophomore is so much more work than I expected it to be D:

It’s also more fun? I don’t know; I actually feel like a high schooler this year just due to the fact that I’m much more involved in my school. I actually have school spirit! :D

@P169300 me too. This is the first time I was allowed to take AP classes, the Max I can take also (two classes) and it’s not even really that bad it’s just a big transition from freshman year. Freshman year was a joke and 8th grade was actually a lot harder than freshman year hahaha

@ThatOneWeirdGuy I have a lot of activities this year, so I’ve got everything on a calendar xD I have to sign up for a lot at the beginning of the year, so as soon as I get a date, I stick it in. I can’t have mandatory things for clubs conflicting with each other, after all.

For example, there’s a dance competition (probably), a winterguard competition, and SciOly regionals on the same day. I have to choose between the three by, like, next week (this is why I keep a calendar). I honestly don’t know which to choose; I have no other science-related activities (other than basic clubs; I’m going to try out for Science Bowl, but I doubt I’ll get in). However, winterguard is dance, which I really love. I like my dance team (I do Bollywood), but it costs a lot of money ($1000 for one competition season) and I’m not as big of a fan of the type of dance they do.

If one of the dates changes, I’ll get really annoyed because then I could have done more than one.

You’d be surprised how far ahead events are planned out.

@xxvintagexx But our homecoming game is on Halloween, and I have to perform there D: Otherwise I’d be going trick-or-treating for sure. Our Homecoming dance is on the Saturday after (November 1st), but it’s not even semiformal. And our school dances are really, really bad.

Anyways, I have a MUN workshop on the day of the dance, and I’ll probably be utterly exhausted by the time I get home.

I technically could have taken an AP class (AP Stats) because of the math level I’m in this year, but I took a class that counts as Arts credits instead, since I don’t have space junior and senior year.

@Mebehold Really? xD For me, 8th grade was a total joke, and 9th grade was only hard because of pre-ap world history.

@P169300 His pre-ap world history just Honors World or is it different? I don’t think I remember 7th or 8th grade. Didn’t learn any thing at all. Same with 9th, except there was some stuff here and there. And still now, its a lot of easy work with too much stress. APUSH is killing my butt though

$1,000 for a single season?! O.O

I feel hopelessly lazy now. Wish our school had Science Olympiads; that would be fun.

I just realized, we are half way through first semester. I have a B and C in my AP classes. :(

@livelaugh7 You’re taking APUSH as a sophomore? No wonder it’s killing you!

Pre-ap was a different class than honors world. We basically learned pre-civilization and period two (classical civilizations), as well as how to write essays and read for information.

I’m still really scared for a dbq though

@P169300 I don’t think the DBQs are difficult. The essays are harder. My APUSH teacher is the most difficult teacher at our school (not including science and math).

My 9th grade year was actually pretty hard.

My freshman year was absurdly easy, but I also did a lot less ECs. I have Colorguard, MUN, Science Bowl (right now I only get into practices, but if I get on the team, it’ll be more of a title), and various campus clubs; not to mention the math and science team coaching I occasionally have to do on the weekends (I get paid for it, and it’s pretty fun). Too much work.

I have 2 Bs at the moment, which is really worrying me (although one, Chem, is a B+ because of formatting errors on labs and stuff; the other one is Math, for which I have a solid B that I really, really need to bring up so I can get into BC).

We have a football game tomorrow for Colorguard, and we have to perform with the cheerleaders for part of it (in a different area, but near them and at the same time). I feel like the cheerleaders sort of see us as equals, but we make so many bad jokes about them (at our school, the cheerleaders and football team aren’t really a big thing; some are pretty nice, though)…

I managed to sign up for the PSAT, which makes me happy I had to run to get to the front of the line, since they only have limited space for sophomores.

My freshman year was so easy. The only difficult part is having 3.5 hours of math everyday :/

I have 3 Bs, one in Physics (easily can be brought up), in Math (which will probably be an A- by the end of the term) and I think a B- in APUSH (could be lying though and it could be a C+… probably not though)

Our homecoming is ALWAYS terrible. People only go to the football games.

Taking the PSATs next saturday. GTG study

@livelaugh7 Ours is exactly the opposite xD The only time you’ll ever see my school show spirit is Homecoming (Week, not Game) and Multicultural Week. Other than that, it’s… not really there.

@topaz1116 My school is very athletically oriented, at least a good amount of the popular kids are. The rest go to hang out with their bf/gfs. But a lot of people where our school’s apparel, including myself. We have spirit days for sports and 3 spirit weeks a year.
